ClearSERP uses Polar.sh as its merchant of record to handle all billing, invoicing, and payment processing. This provides you with a secure, compliant, and professional billing experience with automatic tax handling and instant invoice generation.
Accessing Your Billing Portal
Navigate to Settings
Go to the Settings page in ClearSERP
Click Manage Subscription
Click the "Manage Subscription" button to access your Polar customer portal
Access Customer Portal
You'll be redirected to your secure Polar customer portal where you can manage all billing aspects
Managing Your Subscription
View Subscription Details
Click the "View Subscription" button to see:
- Current plan and pricing
- Next billing date
- Subscription status
- Option to cancel subscription
Change Your Plan
Click the "Change Plan" button to:
- Upgrade to a higher tier
- Downgrade to a lower tier
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- See prorated charges/credits
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- 1. Click "View Subscription" in the customer portal
- 2. Click the "Cancel Subscription" button
- 3. Select a cancellation reason (optional)
- 4. Confirm your cancellation
When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You'll retain access to all features and your remaining credits until then.
Invoices & Order History
Download Invoices
Professional invoices are automatically generated for every payment and can be downloaded instantly:
- 1.From the subscription details panel, click "Download Invoice" for any payment
- 2.Or navigate to the "Orders" page in the customer portal
- 3.Click "View Order" on any past order to see details and download the invoice
Order Information
Each order in your history includes:
- Order date and time
- Order amount and tax
- Unique order ID
- Order status
Payment Methods & Billing Details
To update your payment method or billing details:
- 1. Go to "Settings" in the customer portal
- 2. View your current payment method
- 3. Click "Update" to change your card
- 4. Enter new payment details securely
From the same settings page, you can also update:
- Company name and address
- Tax ID or VAT number
- Billing email address
- Country and currency
Credit Usage Monitoring
Monitor your credit consumption in two places:
In ClearSERP
View your remaining credits in the top navigation bar for quick reference during analysis
In Customer Portal
Click "Usage" in the portal to see detailed credit consumption and remaining balance
Important Billing Information
- Merchant of Record: Polar.sh handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and invoice generation. They appear on your bank statements and are responsible for all financial transactions.
- Subscription Changes: When upgrading or downgrading, changes take effect immediately. Polar automatically calculates prorated charges or credits for the remainder of your billing period.
- Automatic Tax Handling: Polar automatically calculates and collects applicable taxes based on your location. Tax amounts are clearly shown on all invoices and receipts.
